Kendrapara: Odisha Crime Branch’s Special Task Force (STF) on Wednesday raided the residence of dreaded gangster Syed Usman Ali alias Tito at Dilarpur here and nabbed his two absconding brothers and a relative.
The STF team conducted the raid in wee hours of the morning, after receiving a tip-off about the presence of the two brothers in the house.
The arrested brothers of Tito, namely G Babu and SK Jitu, had given police the slip when the STF had arrested Tito in June last year. As per reports, over 30 criminal cases, including those pertaining to illegal sand mining and stone quarrying, are pending against both the brothers.
Noteworthy, Gangster Tito was arrested by the STF following an encounter in Chandikhole area of Jajpur district on June 30, 2018.
In view of the general elections, he was later shifted to Jharpada Special Prison in Bhubaneswar from Kendrapada.
