Rourkela: Late last night a portion of the Brahmani Bridge at Rourkela, developed a crack. According to sources a part of the bridge caved in.
Though very few commuters were present on the bridge due too the coronavirus lock down, hence no accident has occurred.
Still fear was writ large in the face of the locals. Officials of the NHAI (National Highway Authority of India) said repair work will be done on urgent basis.
Locals however expressed their displeasure over the incident saying that the bridge had been repaired just 15 days back. They made their discontentment clear over the incident.
