Dhenkanal: The helper of a truck and 20 cows were killed as the vehicle overturned at Tolarpasi village under Nihal Prasad police limits of the district on Wednesday.
According to reports, a truck bearing registration number OR-22-C 3871 overturned after the driver of the truck lost control over the wheels causing the death of the helper and cows on the spot.
Some locals alleged that the cows were being transported illegally and demonstrated on the spot demanding action against the accused.
Though the identity of the truck driver and deceased helper are yet to be identified, local police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
