COVID19: Super spreader infects nearly 11 persons in Odisha

Balasore: There is no doubt that Odisha government is leaving no stones unturned to check the spread of COVID19 in the State. However, super spreaders have raised serious concern for the government now.

Patient No. 61, a resident of Neliabag area in Balasore district has reportedly infected at least 11 persons including family members and relatives.

Patient No. 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 88, 89, 104, 105, 106 and 107 got infected reportedly after coming in contact with him. This includes six female and five male.

Later, another person got coronavirus infection after coming in contact with patient No 79.

The 58-year-old man (patient No. 61) had returned from Jharkhand on March 13. He had gone to Balasore District Hospital for a test on April 7. Later, he visited different hospitals in Bhubaneswar and finally tested positive for the disease on April 18.

Currently, he is undergoing treatment at a COVID hospital in the State capital city.

Till date, as many as 13 COVID19 cases have been reported from Neliabag area in the district.
