Cuttack: A patient admitted to the Acharya Harihara Regional Cancer Hospital in Cuttack of Odisha was tested positive for Coronavirus on Wednesday, intimated Dr. Lalatendu Sadangi, director of the hospital.
The said patient is from Ganjam district. He was admitted to the hospital on June 19. He was housed in the emergency ward of the hospital, the director intimated.
The doctors and the staff of the hospital who had come in contact with the said patient will be kept in isolation. The ward where the patient had been housed has been sealed and is being sanitized.
It has been learnt that the doctors, medical staff, 2 patients who came in contact with the said patient and his relatives who were attending him at the hospital will be tested for COVID 19.
After the patient was tested positive, he was shifted to KIMS COVID hospital in Bhubaneswar.
