Covid 19 Twin City Update: BMC and CMC record 297 and 52 positive cases today

Bhubaneswar: As many as 297 Covid positive cases were reported in Bhubaneswar (BMC) on February 6. On the other hand, Cuttack city (CMC area) has reported 52 positive cases.

The total cases in Bhubaneswar now stand at 1,54,289 while the total recovered cases are 1, 41,311. The total death cases recorded in the BMC is 1135.  Active cases in the city are 11802. The number of recovered cases today is 467. The positive cases linked with earlier positive cases are 14.

As reported by CMC, out of the 52 new cases reported, 21 cases of local contact case were registered. The total case from home quarantine is 24. 7 cases of institutional quarantine cases were recorded today in the silver city.

Total Covid-19 cases in Cuttack city are 55,596 while the recovered cases are 54,338. The active cases today are 829. The total deaths in the city are 429.

Odisha reported 2,106 fresh cases of Covid including 324 in the 0-18 years age group, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Sunday.

The new 2,106 positive cases include 429 cases from Khordha, followed by Cuttack at 145 and Sundargarh at 219.

Among the 2,603 positives, 1,229 patients are in quarantine, and 877 are the local contacts.
