Covid 19 Twin City: 46 new covid positive cases detected in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack reports 8 cases

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has reported 46 new covid positive cases as on December 27. On the other hand, Cuttack city (CMC area) has reported 8 positive cases today.

According to reports by BMC, out of the total 46 positive cases detected today, 12 positive cases are quarantine cases while local contact cases are 34. The positive cases linked with earlier positive cases are 12.

The total cases in Bhubaneswar now stand at 1, 23,357 while the total recovered cases are 1, 21,427. The total death cases recorded in the BMC is 1096.  Active cases in the city are 813.

As reported on Monday by CMC, out of the 8 new cases reported, 5 cases of local contact case were registered. The total case from home quarantine is 3. No institutional quarantine cases were recorded today in the city.

Total Covid-19 cases in Cuttack city are 45,415 while the recovered cases are 44,803. The active cases today are 521.

In the last 24 hours, Cuttack city has reported 12 recovered cases while in Bhubaneswar 80 recovered cases were registered.

A total of 123 Covid-19 positive cases including 17 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours.

This has taken the tally of Covid to 10,54,004 informed the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department.

Among the 123 positives, 72 are quarantine cases and 51 are local contacts.
