Bhubaneswar: With concern over Covid-19 continuing in some states and detection of the new variant of the virus the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC ) will set up a testing centre at the Biju Patnaik International Airport.
Every passenger will undergo health screening. If any symptom is noticed, then Covid-19 test will be conducted. informs BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary.
Currently, the situation in Odisha is not alarming yet. But we have taken precautionary measures and have kept a strict watch on the situation, said BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary.
He further informed that detailed contact tracing of COVID-19 positive persons in the city has started from yesterday. Efforts are underway to increase the number of testings. More testings will be conducted in the areas from where COVID cases are being detected. We have enough hospitals across the state, he added.
