Covid-19 Surge: Shops, Business Establishments In Deogarh To Remain Shut From 6 pm

Deogarh: In a bid to curb the spread of Covid-19, the Deogarh traders association has decided to shut down all the shops and business establishments from 6pm everyday from Friday.

The decision was taken in wake of the surge in infections in Deogarh. After the night curfew timings were revised, shops and markets were operating from 6 am to 6 pm from Monday to Friday.

Business establishments will remain closed during the weekend shutdown on Saturday and Sunday.

However, shops dealing with medical emergencies and surgical items will be excluded from the new regulation, which will remain in force for 15 days

Earlier, the Odisha Byabasayee Mahasangh, the umbrella body of traders’ associations, on Friday decided to close the shops across the state from 2 pm from Monday.
