Covid-19 Surge: SCB Medical College and Hospital Increases Covid Beds

CUTTACK:  In view of the surge of Covid cases in the state, the SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCB MCH) has increased the bed strength of its Covid hospital from 315 to 500.

It has also been decided that, the number of ICU beds shall be increased to 53 and there will be 10 beds in the High dependency unit (HDU ).

130 beds have been arranged in the eye department building from where the Covid hospital has been functioning since the first wave of the pandemic. 140 beds in the medicine department, 30 beds in the gynecology department, informs SCB Hospital Emergency officer Bhubananada Maharana.

The only aim of SCB is to keep everyone healthy and have zero Covid mortality rate, added Maharana.
