Covid-19 Recovery Update: 260 Covid patients recover in last 24 hours

Bhubaneswar: The Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) Department of Odisha informed that, another 260 patients have recovered from Covid-19 in the State and are being discharged from various facilities as on January 8.

The H&FW department informed about this development through its official twitter handle.

According to the H&FW department of the state, the highest recoveries were in Khordha district followed by Cuttack and Sundargarh districts.

The total recovered cases in Odisha now stand at 10,46,231.

The details of the recovery cases from different districts today are as follows:

85 from Khordha

43 from Cuttack

38 from Sundargarh

14 from Jharsuguda

13 from Sambalpur

8 from Balasore

6 from Dhenkanal

5 from Gajapati

5 from Puri

4 from Jajpur

4 from Kendrapara

4 from Mayurbhanj

4 from Nayagarh

3 from Ganjam

2 from Bhadrak

1 from Bargarh

1 from Deogarh

20 from State Pool

As many as 3679 Covid-19 positive cases including 1223 from Khordha have been detected in the last 24 hours. The total cases include 384 in the 0-18 years age group have been found, informed the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Friday.

Among the 3679 positives, 2148 are quarantine cases and 1531 are local contacts. There are a total of 11663 active cases. The positivity rate stands at 5.15%.
