Covid-19 cases sees marginal spike among children in Odisha, 2 more die

Bhubaneswar: A total of 205 Covid-19 positive cases including 45 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 10,47,003 informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Sunday.

Among the 205 positives, 119 are quarantine cases and 86 are local contacts. However, 263 patients recovered in the State taking the total number of 10,36,230 Currently, the active cases stands at 2327.

Besides, the state pool has 24 new Covid cases.

Meanwhile, as many as two COVID infected patients died in the last 24 hours, informed the State Health & Family Welfare Department on Saturday taking the death toll to 8,393. Details of cases confirmed as death due to Covid-19, after due completion of death audit process:

1.A 58 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Acute Kidney Infection.

2.A 87 years old Male of Khordha District.

NOTE: This list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.
