Covid-19: Bhubaneswar registers 18 new positive cases and 35 recovered cases in 24 hours

Bhubaneswar: 18 new cases of Covid-19 were detected in Odisha’s capital city Bhubaneswar in the last 24 hours.

According to reports by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on June 22, 2022 the cases reported in the city were local contact cases. Positive cases were reported today from Bomikhal, CS Pur, Dumduma, Jaydev Vihar, Jharpada, Khandagiri, Kolathia, Laxmisagar, Nayapalli and Old town area of the city.

With today’s development, the total Covid-19 cases have increased to 1,56,903. The recovered cases are 1,55,484. The total deceased cases are 1193. At present, the active Covid-19 cases in Bhubaneswar stand at 205. The recovered cases in BMC in last 24 hours were 35.

Odisha on Wednesday recorded a rise in daily Covid cases with 45 new positives in different districts of the State in the last 24 hours.

According to the data shared by the Information & Public Relations Department, as many as 45 new Covid positive cases were reported in nine districts and the State Pool. A total of 53 persons were infected with the virus on Tuesday.

There are only three children in the 0-18 age group. Out of the total 45 cases, 27 are quarantine cases while the rest 18 are local contacts. Currently, there are 317 active cases in the State.
