Covid: 14 days’ mandatory quarantine for West Bengal returnees in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: In the wake of resurgence of SARS-CoV 2 in many parts of India and some areas of the State and as triple mutant variant of Covid 19 is reported to be observed in people of West Bengal Odisha government on Thursday announced some major restrictions to check spread of the deadly disease. Chief secretary Suresh Mohapatra announced about the restrictions at 7.30 pm. Here are the measures taken in this regard.

Anyone coming to Odisha from West Bengal by personal or hired vehicles or two/three/ four wheelers or entering the state in any other mode shall undergo mandatory institutional or paid quarantine for 14 days in Cluster TMC.

The Collectors of Balasore, Mayurbhanj have been directed to put Boarder Check Posts (BCP) on all inter-state roads along West Bengal border with immediate effect.

The people travelling from West Bengal to other States through Odisha shall be allowed without disembarking from the vehicle en-route inside Odisha.
