Sambalpur: The fight by a couple on the middle of the road on Friday in Sambalpur of Odisha drew attention of many onlookers. A man and woman fought for a while in front of the public when the woman thrashed the man with her sandal. The video of the happening has gone viral where it was seen that both of them slapped each other.
As per reports, the incident took place in front of the District Collector office in Sambalpur. Reason of the spat said to be love affair.
As per reports, Prachipadma Panda of VSS Nagar under Hirakud Police limits in Sambalpur district was seen today thrashing a man on the road. As per the woman, the man is Akshay Sutar, lecturer of Political Science Department at Hirakud College.
As per the complaint, Akshay married Prachi in 2006 as per Hindu Vedic traditions. However, Akshay had love relationship with another woman. And hence, they used to fight often. For the last few days Akshay was absent from home. The woman today came across him in front of the Collector’s office and the fighting started.
The verbal spat took an ugly turn and both of them engaged in slapping each other. The woman shouted to make the public present there know about the dispute.
On the other hand Akshay has refuted allegations of the woman. He has said that the woman trapped him to marry. Accordingly, she had kept him in her house but was in a relationship with another man. Despite his repeated alarming, she did not pay heed.
The fight between the two extended to such extent today that some people tried to calm them but in vain. Police reached the spot and took the two to the Police Station.
