Balasore: A couple in the district opted to give saplings as return gifts to the guests at their wedding ceremony.
As per reports, Abinash Sahoo, son of renowned businessman of the town Dilip Kumar Sahoo had planned to celebrate his marriage in a unique way by giving saplings to the guests attending their reception ceremony.
The couple distributed around 4000 saplings to the guests. “It would have been difficult for me to distribute so many saplings in any other day, so I decided to distribute those on the reception day. Everyone is aware of the environmental pollution which caused immense problem for residents of Delhi recently. This is a small step towards making the environment clean,” said Abinash.
The couple also requested the guests to take proper care of the saplings. “It is our duty to protect the environment and trees are essential to protect the environment. We are delighted that the guests also promised us to take care of the plants and spread awareness on environmental pollution,” said Pallavi, the bride.
