Couple Commits Suicide In Jharsuguda District Of Odisha

Jharuguda: In an unfortunate incident, a youth and a girl have committed suicide inside a house today in Rengali Kisanpada village under Kumarbandh police outpost in Lakhanpur block of Jharuguda district in Odisha.

According to report, Subrat Kisan, 27-years-old of the village was in love with a 22-year-old girl from a village under Thelkoloi police limits in Sambalpur district. Though they belonged to the same caste but their family members opposed the marriage as their ‘kundli’ did not match.

Subrat’s family had fixed his marriage with some other girl on May 5. Later, Subrat brought her to his house and kept her there for that night.

However, on Monday in the morning Subrat’s relative spotted their hanging bodies in the room.

On getting the information, the Kumbharpada police arrived at the spot and been sent the bodies for autopsy.

.A case of unnatural death has been filed after the police investigation. Further probe is underway.
