Cuttack: The matter relating to seize of counterfeit notes in CDA, Cuttak is still under investigation. The Commissionerate Police is investigating into how such a huge number of notes were manufactured and circulated.
The police is also checking how deeply rooted the incident is. They are trying to find out how many people are involved in the matter.
It is noteworthy that on the 17th of January currency notes worth 1 lakh 6 thousand were deposited in an ATM machine in CDA area of Cuttack.
Counterfeit Notes worth Rs. 53,000 in denominations of two thousand rupees were found to be deposited by a man called Satyajit Panda. He has been arrested and forwarded to the court. Further investigations are on.
