Keonjhar: In a sad development, no people came to participate in the funeral of a youth due to lock down and fear for coronavirus infection. The unfortunate incident took place in Odisha’s Keonjhar.
As per reports, one Ranjan Pradhan of Balabhadrapur under Champua police limits in Keonjhar district was working in Bangalore as a security guard. He returned to his village on March 10. However, as by then corona outbreak already had occurred he was asked to remain in quarantine. Accordingly he remained in quarantine at his home.
Yesterday, on April 19, the youth passed away for a reason so far unknown to us. However, amid coronavirus fear and lock down nobody from the village came forward to shoulder the dead body.
After getting information about the incident Police and Magistrate reached the spot and arranged for funeral ceremony of the youth.
