Cooperative Bank Assistant Manager in Vigilance net in Bhadrak

Bhadrak: Excise Department officials today raided the office and houses of Balasore-Bhadrak Central Cooprative Bank Assistant Manager Ajit Kumar Hota for amassing assets disproportionate to his known source of income.

Four teams of anti-corruption sleuths took part in the raid this morning following an order from Balasore Vigilance SP and simultaneous searches were conducted at four places.

The accused Assistant Manager’s office at Bhadrak town, parental house in Dhusuri along with residents at Nalanga and Mathasahi were searched.

During the raid, separate teams verified several vital documents including land records, bank passbooks and insurance policies, informed sources and seized unaccounted case worth Rs 2 lakh possessed by Hota.

Notably, Hota was working as a Nodal Officer for paddy procurement earlier during which a number allegations had surfaced against him.
