Containment zone declared in this sahi of Rayagada of Odisha

Rayagada: Amid the fluctuations in daily Covid cases in Odisha, the deadly virus has returned to Rayagada district due to which Jhodia Sahi near DFO Colony has been declared as containment zone.

Reportedly, 27 people of Jhodia Sahi have been tested positive for Covid 19 following which the district administration has declared this containment zone.

The families of the 27 families have been directed to remain within the containment zone abiding proper Covid protocols.

It is noteworthy of that a total of 441 Covid-19 positive cases including 75 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 10,37,964.

Among the 441 positives, there are 253 quarantine cases and 188 local contact cases. The new recovery cases stands at 603, taking the total number of 10,25,025 Hence, the number of active cases stands at 4,581.

Meanwhile, the State Health & Family Welfare Department informed about the death of four COVID infected patients, taking the death toll to 8,301 after due completion of death audit process. The list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.
