Bhadrak: In yet another incident earning a bad name for ‘khaki’, a Constable has been suspended from duty under Bhadrak Town Model Police Station area for allegedly duping a woman colleague on the pretext of marriage.
The accused cop has been identified as Jagatpati Hansda, a Constable of Bhadrak Town Police Station.
As per the allegation against Hansda, he was in love with a junior lady Constable of his police station for the past few months. During their relationship, the accused allegedly had sexual relations with the victim, says the complaint filed at Town Model Police Station.
Taking prompt action post the complaint, police arrested the accused and sent him for medical examination. He was suspended of his duties by Bhadrak SP subsequently.
The case is under investigation.
