Conjoined Twins Jaga-Kalia: Jaga To Return To Kandhamal Of Odisha

Kandhamal: The remaining twin of the much talked about conjoined twins Jaga-Kalia is slated to be discharged from SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

However according to reports, Jaga shall return back to Kandhamal after spending almost two long years in SCB Medical College and Hospital.

Later, Jaga will be admitted to the government hospital at Phulbani. A team of doctors from Kandhamal will reach SCB Cuttack and carry out a medical examination of the minor. They will also discuss the future course of treatment of Jaga with the experts at SCB. 

It is noteworthy that, one of the two twins Kalia had passed away on November 25 2020 due to septicaemia. He was under treatment at the trauma ICU of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

Jaga and Kalia, hail from Milipada village in Kandhamal district and were craniopagus conjoined twins meaning, joined at the head which is a very rare occurrence.

The twins were separated after an 18-hour-long surgery at AIIMS in the national capital in October 2017.
