Jagatsinghpur: In yet another poll-related violence in the State, unidentified miscreants stabbed a Congress worker to death in Noliasahi in Gadakujanga area under Balikuda-Erasama Assembly constituency here today.
The deceased has been identified as Lachaman Behera, a resident of the same village.
Behera, who went to cast his vote during the ongoing 4th Phase polling this afternoon, was returning home when the attack took place. At around 4 pm, a group of miscreants stabbed him with a broken glass bottle to kill on the spot.
Police rushed to the spot and sent the body for autopsy after getting intimated on the murder.
