Congress Calls Odisha Bandh On February 15 Over Several Issues

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha unit of Congress will hold bandh across the State on February 15, 2021 as a mark of protest over several issues. This was informed by Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), President Niranjan Patnaik.

Addressing a press conference here today, Patnaik said that the grand old party has called for the strike to create awareness among people about the oil price hike and Odisha government’s incapacity to protect the land, water, and forest.

The OPCC president said that the Andhra Pradesh government has dared to conduct elections in Kotia areas of Koraput district and the dispute over Mahanadi River with the Chhattisgarh government continues only because of the inefficiency of the State government.

Moreover, crime rate also continues to increase in Odisha every passing day, he said adding that the bandh will be observed for seven hours from 7 AM to 1 PM on February 15.
