Commissionerate Police arrests Plus 3 student for making minor girl’s obscene video viral

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has arrested a Plus-3 student for allegedly making an obscene video of a minor girl viral on social media.

Reportedly, the accused Plus-3 student has been arrested from Berhampur.

The minor’s family has alleged that the Plus-3 student had made a bond of friendship with the minor girl over social media. Thereafter, her family alleged that he made an obscene video on the pretext of giving her an Apple iPhone.

Earlier on May 18, the minor’s mother had lodged a complaint with the Bharatpur police station alleging that she has been sexually molested. The allegations were made against a youth identified as Kartik Sundaray.

An action has been taken on the basis of complaint lodged by the family members of the minor.

The Commission for Protection of Child Rights has directed strict action against the culprits and punishment under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
