Rayagada: Mystery shrouded the death of a Plus II Student whose body was found lying near LIC office in Kasturi Nagar of Rayagada district today.
The deceased has been identified as M Suresh Kumar (19), a student of Rayagada Autonomous College.
The murder came to light after some locals spotted Kumar’s body near the LIC office in the morning and called up police.
Fatal injury marks were found all over the body of the deceased pointing at a possible foul play.
Rayagada Police arrived at the spot and conducted preliminary investigation with the help of scientific team and dog squad to send the body for autopsy.
From the prima facie evidences it appears that the youth had been killed somewhere else and dumped here, said police.
CCTV footages available with different buildings near the spot are being examined by police to identify the accused.
