Balasore: Talasari Marine police today detained one person in connection with the incident in which a college girl was stripped naked at Talasari beach. The accused also made a video of the entire incident which went viral on social media few days ago.
Police swung into action after the male companion of the 17-year-old lodged a formal police complaint on Saturday. In the complaint, the boy has also alleged molestation by the three youths who were in an inebriated condition.
The complainant said that the incident took place on August 1 when he had been to the beach with the girl. “They took both of us to a forest and stripped the girl forcibly. They also touched her inappropriately and forced me to do so. They also recorded the entire incident in mobile phone,” alleged the youth.
He also alleged that they were let off only after they paid Rs 1500 to the accused. “They demanded Rs 20000 threatening us to make the video viral. As we did not have any money with us I called one of my friends who reached the spot with cash. They had also demanded the rest of the money to be paid by August 6,” alleged the youth.
Police said that they are also trying to nab the rest two accused involved in the incident.
