Sundergarh: A college-going girl on Monday alleged that she was gang-raped by five of her classmates in Putidihi forest in Balisankara area here.
The distressful incident occurred on June 26, but the matter came to light when the +3 1st year student lodged a complaint at Sadar police station here on Monday.
Reportedly, the victim was waiting for her college bus when she was kidnapped by five of her classmates. They took her to Putidihi forest and the girl was gang-raped. They also threatened the girl with murder if she ever disclosed it to anyone. Scared, she kept her silence.

Finally, the victim confessed to her parents. Later she filed a written complaint in this regard.
The Police have begun an investigation in the matter. Four of the accused have been held for questioning. The police have also seized the bike used in this matter.
