Khordha: Adding to the unending episode of violence against women in the state, unidentified miscreants abducted a college girl on her way back to home, near Malisahi village under Bolagarh police limits in the district today.
The victim girl has been identified as a Plus-III 2nd year student of Paramananda College of Bolagarh, says reports.
The incident took place in the afternoon today, while the girl was returning home riding her Honda Activa. A group of miscreants intercepted her on the Malisahi Road and kidnapped in a while colour car, informed some eyewitnesses who tried to reach the spot for help but failed.
Family members of the girl lodged a complaint at Bolagarh Police Station in connection with the case.
Police have seized the scooter and sandals of the girl from the spot and launched a manhunt.
