Distribution of seats in Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha yet to be decided

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Pradesh Congress President Niranjan Patnaik announced on Monday that a coalition of opposition is a possibility for the upcoming elections.

State Congress President Niranjan Patnaik had a discussion with CPI General Secretary D Raja regarding the formation of the coalition. Raja said that they will also have another round of discussion with CPI (M).

OPCC President also clarified that distribution of seats for Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha is yet to be decided. He also said that they are waiting for Congress Screening Committee’s decision to decide on the distribution of seats. And once the decision from the Committee comes they can decide on the seats.

Rahul Gandhi’s Odisha visit

Congress President Rahul Gandhi is set to visit Odisha on March 2, informed OPCC President Niranjan Patnaik. Previously, it was known that Gandhi shall have two public meets. But as of now, he will have just one public meet in Odisha. Also, it was known before that Rahul Gandhi would visit Odisha on February 27 which has now been rescheduled to March 2. The public meet might be held most probably at Jeypore or Bargarh.
