Berhampur: The Ganjam district administration on Thursday sealed a coaching centre here in Odisha for alleged violation of COVID-19 guidelines.
According to reports, classes were being held at the coaching centre situated at Gajapati Nagar in the city with the door locked from outside.
On being informed, the district administration officials reached the spot and found that some teachers were teaching to at least 20 students at the coaching centre.
The administration immediately sealed the private institute and issued notice to its owner.
Gajapati Nagar is a hub of coaching institutes which caters to students preparing for banking services and civil services.
Notably, the government has ordered tall educational institutions in the state to remain closed till July 31 in view of COVID-19 pandemic.
