CM to visit Cuttack today to launch a slew of projects

Cuttack: Continuing with his whirlwind tours to different districts of the state, CM Naveen Patnaik will visit Cuttack district today and attend a Biju Yuva Samavesh scheduled to be held at the Bali Yatra ground, where he would launch a slew of projects also.

As per the CMO sources, the CM will lay foundation stones of at least 23 projects worth Rs 231 cr and inaugurate 42 others setup at a budget of Rs 263 cr during his today’s visit.

After arriving in Baranga in a helicopter at around 10.40 am the CM would lay foundation stone of the Tata Memorial Hospital. Once completed, the hospital could be proved a milestone in the state in cancer care, say reports.

CM will fly to Bali Yatra ground at around 5 pm in the afternoon to attend the ‘Biju Yuva Samavesh’ to address hundreds of members of ‘Biju Yuva Vahini’ from Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur and Dhenkanal districts.

Keeping in view the large scale influx of ‘Biju Yuva Vahini’ activists to the district from the four districts, the administration has tightened the security in Cuttack.

The Commissionerate Police has deployed around 35 platoons of police forces and engaged 100 officers on duty to maintain law and order situation during the CM visit.
