CM to launch a slew of projects in Dhenkanal and Angul today

Bhubaneswar: Continuing with his non-stop intrastate tour, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will visit Dhenkanal and Angul on Sunday to launch 103 projects worth ₹ 953 crores and 37 projects worth ₹ 1129 crores in these districts respectively.

As per a CMO communique, CM will land in Hindol of Dhenkanal district at 4 pm and attend KALIA Farmers’ Conclave at Satmile and shall distribute financial aid to beneficiaries under KALIA scheme.  A total of 31,985 farmers of Dhenkanal district will be handed over a monetary support of ₹ 5000 in the first phase under the scheme, says a release by Dhenkanal district administration earlier. In the second phase, about 11,949 farmers will be benefited, informed Deputy Director of Agriculture.

At least, 18 check dams are also set to be inaugurated at Gandia, Hindol, Kamakhyanagar, Parjang and Dhenkanal block.

In addition to the foundation stone lying, 13 rural piped drinking water projects at Gandiam Dhenkanal district headquarters, Hindol, Udapada, Kamakhyanagar, Bhuban, Parjang and Kankahada blocks will be inaugurated by the CM during his visit to Dhenkanal today.

Khajuriakata under Hindol block shall get 132/33 KV grid substation.

CM is also set to lay foundation stones for a bunch of projects in Dhenkanal district starting with irrigation project worth ₹ 81.50 crores which shall benefit 2954 hectares of agricultural land at Chatia.

Under Basudha scheme, foundation stone for a mega pipeline project worth ₹129 crore 69 lakhs will be laid to benefit 132 villages under 28 panchayats in Odapada block. 185 villages under 35 panchayats in Hindol block shall also benefit from another project under Basudha scheme which will be worth ₹150 crore 71 lakh.

Foundation stone for a three-lane high-level bridge worth ₹ 254 crores shall be laid at Dhenkanal- Kamakhyanagar block over the Brahmani River.

After the programme, CM Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to visit Angul district headquarters to lay the foundation and inaugurate a slew of projects.

He shall inaugurate road projects, bridges and a piped drinking water project for the district. The piped drinking water project shall benefit Angul, Athamalik, Chandipada and Palalhada blocks.

CM will also lay the foundation for an irrigation project worth ₹262.80 crore at Kadapada Kuteswar, Kumiha and Olat Parbati Giri which shall benefit 5900 hectares of agricultural land.

Apart from this, the foundation stone for two high-level bridges at Angul block, and at Athamalik block shall be laid.

CM will also lay the foundation stones for a number of road construction, hospital, and piped drinking water projects in Angul district today.
