Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be on an one day visit to Gajapati district today to launch the distribution of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) Smart Health Card. He travel by helicopter and is slated to arrive at Paralakhemundi stadium at 11 am. He will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of various developmental projects of the district during his visit.
Reportedly, he will lay the foundation stone of a large drinking water supply project in Gajapati worth Rs 796.19 crore. This project will be constructed at Harabhangi Reservoir under Mohana block. Besides, there are also schedules to inaugurate various projects. Of these, 15 projects of Paralakhemundi Election Constituency have been estimated to be worth Rs 880 lakhs and 12 projects for Mohana Election Constituency have been estimated to be worth Rs 1446.49 lakh.
Thereafter, he will inaugurate the Health Welfare Yojana in the district where the beneficiaries will also be given smart cards. Following which, he will leave for Bhubaneswar at 11.45 am.
The entire program will be held in the presence of limited guests following strict Covid protocols, said the district magistrate Lingaraj Panda in a press meet. Meanwhile, DIG (Southern Range) Berhampur Satyabrata Bhoi has also inspected the security arrangements.
The RTPCR test has been made mandatory for all the people who will attend the meeting including beneficiaries, media representatives, police and the officials of district administration.
Six platoons of police including four platoons of armed police force have been deployed for the visit of Chief Minister. There will be 14 inspectors, six DSP, one SP and one ASP along with them. Metal detectors, bomb squads and dog squads have also been kept in charge of security until the end of CM Naveen Patnaik’s visit.
