CM Naveen Patnaik to visit Cuttack and Khordha today

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will visit Cuttack today to distribute the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) Smart Cards to residents of the district. The Chief Minister is also scheduled to inaugurate AIIMS+ College and Hospital.

According to reports, he will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 1,568 crore.

In view of the Chief Minister’s safety, Commisionerate Police engaged platoons of forces, and carcade rehearsal have been conducted in the area. As many as 15 platoons of police forces have been deployed near Baliyatra ground and helipad for CM Naveen Patnaik’s arrival.

The Chief Minister will arrive at Baliyatra ground by helicopter at 10.45 am and distribute smart cards to the beneficiaries under Biju Health Welfare Scheme. Following this, the world-class AIIMS Plus SCB Hospital will be inaugurated.

It is to be noted that the Chief Minister will also visit Begunia in the Khordha district for BSKY smart health card distribution. As many as 127 projects will be inaugurated and foundation stones of  407 projects will be laid.

The Chief Minister is scheduled to arrive at the Begunia Biju Patnaik Mini Stadium by helicopter at 11.40 am for the ceremony. Three additional SPs, seven DSPs, 15 inspectors, and nine platoons of police forces have been deployed for security arrangements led by SP.

Earlier on December 12, Chief Minister launched the distribution program of smart health cards under Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) in Ganjam district. Around 16.76 lakh families would avail of the benefits under the BSKY smart health card scheme in the district.
