CM Naveen Patnaik Sends Eid-Ul-Fitr Greetings

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik sent his heartfelt greetings on the occasion of auspicious Eid-Ul-Fitr via social media on Wednesday.

CM Patnaik tweeted, “Warm greetings for all on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. May the spirit of Eid bring happiness and strengthen the spirit of brotherhood & amity in the society. #EidMubarak”.

The Muslim community in Odisha is celebrating Eid today with a bling festive mood. As the holy month of Ramadan comes to an end along with 30-day long fasting, the community is now celebrating Eid-Ul-Fitr with all the excitement and enthusiasm.

People are usually dressed in fresh new clothes and are visiting the Masjids for Namaaz. Post to that, they were seen hugging each other and distributing sweets amongst each other as a part of the ritual.

The community celebrates Eid with various kinds of sweets, biryani and the popular Eid Seviyaan. They prepare varieties of food and celebrate it with relatives and loved ones after offering holy prayer.

President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi also tweeted their greetings for Eid.

Shri Ram Nath Kovind tweeted, “#EidMubarak to all the fellow citizens, especially to our Muslim brothers and sister in India and abroad. The festival of Idu’l Fitr strengthens our belief in charity, fraternity and compassion. May this happy occasion bring joy and prosperity to everyone’s lives. #PresidentKovind.”

Shri Narendra Modi also tweeted saying, “Have a blessed Id-ul-Fitr.”
