Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed deep grief at the passing away of eminent Hindustani vocalist pandit Damodar Hota.
While expressing his deep grief over Hota’s death, Patnaik said that his contribution to Indian classical music will be ever remembered by the posterity.
Besides, the Chief Minister conveyed his deep sympathy to the bereaved family members of eminent Hindustani vocalist.
The CM also announced that the mortal remains of Pandit Damodar Hota will be cremated with state honours.
It is to be noted here that the classical singer complained of chest pain this morning following which he was being rushed to a hospital in Bhubaneswar. But unfortunately, he passed away before reaching the hospital. He was 86.
