CM Naveen Patnaik inaugurates Odisha’s longest bridge T-Setu

Cuttack: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated Odisha’s longest bridge T-Setu over Mahanadi River on Monday. The bridge will greatly benefit the people of Cuttack and Khurda districts, connecting Gopinathpur in Baramba with Baidweswar in Banki.

Steel & Mines Minister Prafulla Mallik and Badamba MLA Debi Prasad Mishra were also present during the inauguration ceremony.

After the inauguration of the bridge, the Chief Minister asked the people present during the ceremony “Aapana maane khusi ta?” (Are you happy?), which is a much popular slogan among the masses of Odisha, to which the people responded with much joy.

The CM had laid its foundation stone in February 2014. The 3.4 km long bridge has been built at a cost of Rs 111 crore.

BJD leader Debi Prasad Mishra visited the bridge on Sunday for the inspection and made sure all the arrangements for the event have been organized.

This bridge reduced more than 50 km of distance between Bhubaneswar and Badamba-Narasinghpur. The design of the Bridge resembles the English letter ‘T’ and the plan has been implemented for the first time in Odisha.

Earlier this morning, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the Mukhyamantri Bayu Swasthya Seva (Air Health Services) at Bhubaneswar’s Biju Patnaik International Airport.
