Sambalpur: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday inaugurated the 2.5 km long Sapne bridge on Ib river, a tributary of the Mahanadi river, which happens to be the longest river bridge in the Western Odisha.
The much awaited bridge, which is popularly known as the ‘Ib Setu’, has been constructed with a budget of Rs 117.5 crore.
With the inauguration of the bridge, the distance between Ib Thermal Power Station (ITPS) and Sambalpur has been reduced by 50 kilometres.
