CM Naveen Patnaik distributes Smart Health Cards in Deogarh today

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched the distribution of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) Smart Health Card in a virtual mode in Deogarh district today. As many as 2,70,000 beneficiaries will given the Smart Health Cards today. Around 10,454 beneficiaries have benefited health care worth of Rs 20 crore.

Reportedly,CM inaugurated and laid foundation stone of various projects worth Rs 707 crore including a 300-bed hospital in the city. “Deogarh city is a gift of nature to the State,”said CM.

He also added that every life is precious to him and nobody will be deprived of money for health related issues.

Large-scale preparations were made for the virtual launch of distribution of the health cards. As many as 28,069 beneficiaries in 24 panchayats of Barkot block, 27,175 beneficiaries in 26 panchayats of Riamal block, 19,862 beneficiaries in 20 panchayats of Tileibani block and 3,509 beneficiaries in Ward No 11 of Deogarh municipality area will be given the smart health cards.

Earlier, Chief Minister distributed the smart health cards to over three lakh beneficiaries in Puri district, about 1.35 lakh people in Gajapati, in Balangir, 3.5 crore people in Titlagarh, to 4.36 lakh people in Sundergarh and 1,55, 823 smart health cards in Malkangiri.

It has been scheduled that by the month of November all the beneficiaries of all districts will be given the smart health cards in phases. It is noteworthy to mention that, around 10 lakh beneficiaries in last 45 days.

On the occasion of 75th Independence Day, the Chief Minister had announced to provide Smart Health Cards to 3.5 crore people in the State under BSKY.
