Bhubeneswar: Expressing his deep sorrow over the death of ace Odia mountaineer Kalapana Dash, who died during an expedition in Himalayas yesterday, CM Naveen Patnaik has condoled her death.
Taking to his twitter handle this morning, Naveen dubbed Kalpana as an legend and expressed apathy to her bereaved family. He insisted that the late mountaineer will continue to remain as an inspiring source for the women in the state.
Saddened to learn about the demise of Kalpana Dash while descending from Mt. Everest. Her legacy in mountaineering will inspire generations of young women in the state. My condolences to the bereaved family.

Notably, Kalpana died at the balcony area of a mountain peak in Himalayas while descending from it at around 12.55 pm yesterday.
Ms Kalinga
