CM Naveen Patnaik approves Bhubaneswar Metro rail project

Bhubaneswar: CM Naveen Patnaik on Saturday has approved Bhubaneswar Metro rail project.

In the first phase, the approval for metroworks has been granted from Bhubaneswar airport to Trisulia in Cuttack. The metro rail proposal was given to connect trains between Puri-Bhubaneswar-Cuttack.

The step is being taken by the state government to control the traffic in both the twin cities that is Bhubaneswar and Cuttack and Puri.

Earlier today, Chief Secretary along with development commissioner, 5T, transport and IT secretaries conducted high-level review to check feasibility of metro train services on different routes.
