CM Naveen Patnaik Announces Ex-Gratia Of 2 Lakh For Ganjam Accident

Bhubaneswar: CM Naveen Patnaik expressed deep grief at the death of the passengers travelling in the ill fated bus in Ganjam.

He announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of the kin of the deceased and free treatment for the injured.

He wished speedy recovery to the injured.

The CM made the announcement of the compensation and expressed his grief on his official Twitter handle.

It is noteworthy that, the accident took place near Ganjam Taptapani ‘Ghati’ road, as the bus lost balance and skid off a bridge. Seven people have lost their lives and more than 50 have been injured.
