CM makes 3 big announcements, inaugurates 21 welfare projects in Rairangpur

Rairangpur: CM Naveen Patnaik made three major announcements for Rairangpur during his second visit to Mayurbhanj district within five days today and inaugurated 21 projects worth Rs 45 crore for Rairangpur and Karanjia.

While addressing a gathering at Mahuldiha ground in the noon, the CM announced the setting up of a 100-bedded hospital at Rairangpur to be built up in PPP mode. He also informed that a decision has been taken for developing sports infrastructure in the district and a stadium would soon come up in the district as a part of it.

Similarly, an ADM (additional district magistrate) will also be given charge of Rairangpur subdivision, added the CM.

Ahead of gracing the ‘Mission Shakti’ convention and addressing thousands of women Naveen laid foundation stones of 15 projects worth Rs 960.34 crore for the benefit of the Rairangpur people.

Rs 15,000 as monetary assistance to 7,453 Women Self Help Groups, Rs 25 lakh each to 12 block-level organisations along with Rs 3,000 each to 7,467 SHGs for digital empowerment were distributed by the CM at the convention later. In total, an assistance of Rs 16 crore were given to the SHGs and Mahasanghs today.
