CM dedicates 2nd campus of Utkal University, projects worth Rs 152.49 cr in Jajpur

Jajpur: Adding a new milestone to Odisha Government’s efforts to develop education sector, CM Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the rural campus of Utkal University at Chandikhole during his visit to Jajpur district today.

The rural campus of the premier varsity which is also called as the second campus will be set up at a budget of Rs 25 cr on a land area of 66.3-acre for which all modalities have been finished. The land for the new campus has been allocated near Bhairabananda College.

In the initial phase, two courses namely post-graduation in Public Health and MBA in Rural Management will be provided at the rural campus for which classes will commence from this academic session, says sources.

During his visit CM also launched projects worth over Rs 500 crore to Barchana residents and inaugurated a memorial for freedom fighters in front of block office.

Later, addressing a massive public gathering at Barchana Naveen reaffirmed his commitment towards farmers, women and youth in the state and claimed that all care is being taken to ensure all eligible farmers’ inclusion under KALIA scheme.
