Bhubaneswar: Reacting to the killing of a BJP leader by miscreants in poll bound Khordha district, CM Naveen Patnaik has condemned the act and approached the Election Commission to take the matter seriously.
While earlier in the day Naveen came down heavily upon the dastardly act on his Twitter handle and insisted that violence has no place in democracy, later he sought the Election Commission’s attention in the case.

Notably, the CM has directed Odisha Police to take stringent action against the culprits involved in gunning down BJP Khordha Mandal president Manguli Jena near party’s Nabina Bag office last night.
Following the incident, the BJP has called for Khordha bandh from 8 am to 2 pm today.
