Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik attended the passing out parade of the first batch of Odisha Industrial Security Force (OISF) at 7th OSAP Battalion ground here on Monday.
As many as 1370 OISF personnel, who were trained for one and half years at different places, received their appointment letters from Patnaik, who attended the passing out parade ceremony as chief guest today.
The new wing of Odisha police, which includes 206 women, will work on the lines of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). They will be deployed at both state government-run and private industrial buildings like banks, Hirakud Dam, IRE (Chhatrapur), IIT (Bhubaneswar), NTPC (Sundargarh) and RBI.
CISF personnel will be replaced by those of the OISF, sources said.
