Jharsuguda: A class V student was hospitalised after allegedly being beaten by the headmaster of Balijori Nodal Primary School in the district on Thursday.
As per reports, the minor student was allegedly beaten by Nirmala Naik, the headmaster of the school over a minor fight between the two students.
The victim complained of uneasiness and also started vomiting after reaching his home. The family members of the minor boy immediately rushed him to the District Headquarters Hospital.
On the other hand Naik denied the allegations and said that he was injured after being beaten by his classmate. “The incident took place after the school was closed. I have not assaulted him in any manner,” said Naik.
Meanwhile the District Education Officer (DEO) has asked the Block Education Officer (BEO) to conduct a probe in this connection and file a report at the earliest possible.
