Koraput: In a tragic incident, a Class 5 boy allegedly committed suicide in an orphanage at Jeypore town in Koraput district of Odisha, today.
The deceased was studying in Sishu Sadan of Parabeda area under Jeypore town limits. He was a native of Karanguda village under Kundura tehsil of the district.
As soon as the authorities found about the incident, they informed the police. The Jeypore police reached the spot, seized the body and sent it for an autopsy. The Jeypore Tehsildar also reached the spot after getting the information.
In the meanwhile, the police is investigating the crime scene for discovery of any new evidence. The reason behind such a mysterious incident remains unknown.
Similar incident of student committing suicide was reported from the institute last year. This raises a question on the administration of Sishu Sadan.
